Really nice place, nicely decorated we went in for drinks on Saturday night and was busy, staff were friendly although I had some difficulty getting served later on in the evening seemed to be over looked but it was busy. Apparently there is a app you can use to order drinks and have them brought to your table so will try that next time.. Everything was reasonably priced, the cocktail pitchers were yummy. Make sure you give your self plenty of time to get to the toilet tho as it feels like you walk forever up stairs to get to it, could do with someone to fill the loo rolls up as not one toilet had any but again it was a Saturday busy night. Over all would recommend going nice friendly atmosphere and great prices.
Great staff and waitresses. 2018 March mix grill had a massive piece of fat and gristle. 14 oz medium rare steak was well done. Red lion drops from 4 star in 2017 too 3 due to poor consistent quality of meat. 1st of June 2018. Top staff and food and drinks for a Phil Broad retirement

I booked the executive suite and we wasn't disappointed. From when we entered the building we were more than impressed. With glorious surroundings and a friendly reception to make us feel more than welcome. Our room was to die for, spacious, clean, modern with the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. The bathroom also had ample room with a separate walk in shower. Room service brought us a fair priced bottle of Champagne with a selection of berries which tasted devine. We dined out at the Crab and Moo, a 5 minute walk away, which was very nice and walked back to have a gin nightcap in the bar. Again staff were more than accommodating offering a friendly service. We had a peaceful night's sleep in a very comfortable bed and woke to our champagne breakfast which was cooked to a very good standard. We will soon return to what I think has become one of my favourite hotels. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Excellent value for money. Outstanding service. Fabulous room. Accommodating kitchen. And within walking distance from the racecourse. Highly recommended.

Stopped 3 nights. Great privately owned hotel. Location to town centre brilliant. Parking in hotel grounds. We ate one evening meal which was good. Staff friendly. Lovely breakfast cafe across the road for low cost home made grub. 7 to 2pm week days. 8 to 2 pm Saturday. Would recommend.
The room I had was clean and given the time that I arrived that was all I was interested in. They are trying hard with the decor. Best part of the stay was breakfast. Freshly cooked to order. Well presented and really tasty. Kept me full for the day. Staff were all friendly.

Always enjoy the food and prices and is pretty quiet, and I even give it an extra star for being so close to my bus stop.
Queues can be long but beer & food price is good. Good atmosphere & plenty of space.

Went there for Sunday evening. There was no tables so we had to wait. An hour later we went to complain about others having tables before us. Found out that they have already marked us off but not given seats. We were then given seats for the table. Meal was delicious and staff was welcoming and friendly. We were told that be a use of our wait we were then given desserts for free. Can't fault this but was extremely busy.
Had breakfast this morning. Food was lovely. Only suggestion I have is with regards to kids breakfasts. They obviously don't benefit from unlimited tea and coffee, and they should get a fruit juice instead. To be fair our server was really understanding with this. Great customer service, will come back again.

Nice pub. Plenty to suit all seasons. Pool room, restauranty area, plenty of space and lots of seating outside, perfect for this sunny summer we're getting. The cask ale is beaut too. Staff are friendly. Would recommend for evening out or a cheeky pint!
Thursday evening is free drink with any mixed grill. I had a mixed grill, Alan had a mega mixed grill. Food was good, if it could have been a little hotter when it arrived. Place was clean and staff are friendly.

Tracey gave us a wonderful welcome and an amazing stay. Nothing was too much trouble for her. All of the rooms , lounge, breakfast room all tastefully and beautifully decorated by herself I found out. What an amazing woman. Such a credit to her for all her hard work. Enjoyed sharing our room with one of her cats Misty . Home from home. Highly recommended. Thanks so very much Tracey.
Excellent guest house at a good price. Comfy bed and a very warm welcome.

This was my first visit to the Kellett Hotel, the couple running the hotel were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The standard of hygiene and cleanliness is really excellent; the room I was allocated was very comfortable and peaceful; the bed and bedding exceptionally comfortable. I can't speak highly enough of this hotel, and highly recommend it; I shall definitely be booking there again when I next visit Doncaster. Stephen.
Just arrived from London as I’m working in Redcar tomorrow so didn’t want too long a car journey. This place is really nice especially for the price. Good quality fixtures and fittings very well done out. And the staff member I dealt with was very helpful and friendly Very good
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
